25 Days of Gifts – Day 7 – Gaming System

For Blogidays 2016 I will be posting the 25 Days of Gifts. These can be gifts of all shapes and sizes, all materials and non-materials, or gifts that are both given or received. (And they don’t necessarily have to be gifts from Christmas time.)

Day  – 7 – Gaming System

I’m not much of a gamer, but I have owned a few gaming systems in my days. The fist one we ever owned was the Atari 2600. This was okay, but our Dad had the most fun with it I think. Asteroids, Centipede, Galaxian, Pac-Man – You know, all the classics.

I little time after that we Finally received the 8-bit NES. This was my jam. Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3, Zelda, Extreme Dodge Ball, and if you’re looking for something different… Super Mario Bros II. I’m so excited to get my hands on one of those NES Classic Editions.  (Hint, Hint)

Those are not the Gaming Systems I’m talking about, though. By far, the most excited I ever got over a Gaming System I received for Christmas was the Sega Genesis. I got it around 1994 or 1995. If I remember right it came with Sonic the Hedgehog. That game was okay at the time. I still don’t quite understand it, but it was cool anyways. The games that I enjoyed the most were Mortal Kombat and Madden ’95. I can’t tell you how many hours I played Madden. I would still be playing that if I still had that Genesis.

Nothing has compared to these games for me, but I’m kinda old school.

Here is a nice badge for everyone to use for this years #Blogidays2016.

What’s your favorite Gaming System? Do you still game?

I want to thank all of those who have donated to our GoFundMe so far! Now we look towards the next visit, which will be during the first week of December.

Please donate. If you cannot donate, please share. Share on Facebook. Share on Twitter. Share this blog. Share the link. There’s even a button up top you can click on.

  1. My husband and I own an N64, a PS2, a Wii and we bought ourselves an Xbox 360 last year. We spent pretty much all of my husband’s week long vacation last week playing Oblivion on the Xbox 360… So, yeah, I think we’re Gamers. 😀
