25 Days of Gifts – Day 2 – The Bike

For Blogidays 2016 I will be posting the 25 Days of Gifts. These can be gifts of all shapes and sizes, all materials and non-materials, or gifts that are both given or received. (And they don’t necessarily have to be gifts from Christmas time.)

Day 2 – The Bike

During Day 1 spoke a little bit about The Bike I received way back in the day. I no longer have this bike, but I sure did appreciate having it back when I did.

My bike was very similar to this one, except a little more white in color.
My bike was very similar to this one, except a little more white.

That bike and I were inseparable for at least a couple of years. We lived across from a Church Parking Lot, that was only filled on Sundays. My brother and I would ride around that parking lot over and over and over…

It was only a few years later when my parents divorced. Dad ended up in an upstairs apartment and asked if he could borrow the bike to make a short commute to work. I, of course, said yes, as I really wasn’t riding it much at that time.

I’m not sure whatever happened to that bike. We now live in an area with an abundance of bike trails, so if anyone is looking for something to give to me or Mrs. BroJo, always consider the good ole 10 speed. Or, maybe even a tandem bike! We aren’t very picky.

Here is a nice badge for everyone to use for this years #Blogidays2016.

Which childhood gift stands out the most to you? Did you ever feel like Lance Armstrong while riding your bike?

I want to thank all of those who have donated to our GoFundMe so far! Now we look towards the next visit, which will be during the first week of December.

Please donate. If you cannot donate, please share. Share on Facebook. Share on Twitter. Share this blog. Share the link. https://www.gofundme.com/LizziMacTrips. There’s even a button up top you can click on.
