Home for the Holidays

As I mentioned here 2014 will be the year of bloggers, for bloggers. Influenced by, and dedicated to Ben at The Way It Is, or Ben’s Opinion please enjoy the following.

Ben and I have been buddies for a couple of years now. He found me, back when I was doing my “Sainted” post (the kind of blogroll I used to have). He commented and asked me to check out his site, which I did, and it was great! At the time it was a Blogspot site, but it looks like he’s coming on over to WordPress, so props for that. A little over a year ago he asked me to take part in his new Book of Mormon Two Minute Challenge. Here is the video I shared. I urge you all to do the same. Ben is the ultimate Missionary. I strive everyday to be more like him. We are connected too, kind of.

Anyways, Back to Home!

I’ll be heading home for Thanksgiving this year. If I work it right I’ll be able to go to my old Ward’s Turkey Bowl and catch up with some old friends. One guy that I’ve played with is Abe Mills. If you’re a member of the Church you might know who this is. He’s a member of Jericho Road, which is a Latter-Day Saint “Boy Band”. The reason that I’ve played with him at my little ole town is because his in-laws are members of my old Ward. And let me tell you, he was a very good player. I’m looking forward to seeing him again, and maybe watching some of the plays.

This relates to Ben because he and his wife ran into Abe at the airport five or six months ago, and he even talked about my home town. Very cool.

Well, better finish packing. Have a fun Holidays everyone!

What are your plans for Thanksgiving?
