In Six Words…

As I mentioned here 2014 will be the year of bloggers, for bloggers. Influenced by, and dedicated to Eli, aka Coach Daddy please enjoy the following.

I’ve only recently been introduced to Eli, but we hit it off very quickly. Each one of his blog pages begins with a quote. I really love that…and may end up stealing that idea. I don’t have anything directly related to Eli to talk about, but he featured me on October’s “…In 6 Words so I thought I’d return the favor. It was fun and I’m looking forward to future installments.

Anyways, back to the Six Words!

I’m not feeling well this weekend. If I had to portray my weekend in six words it would be

NyQuil naps, Pho soup, cheap candy.

The feeling came upon me around Thursday. Little sniffles, minor aches and that all together feeling that “Something just ain’t quite right”. Friday it hit me full force. Luckily the worst of it always takes place in the morning. Throughout the rest of the day I began to feel somewhat better, but still knew that much sleep was in my future.

I assumed that I had medicine at home, so I did not stop anywhere on the way home after work. I did have some, but not read enough to get me through the weekend. I decided to head out on Saturday morning to stock up on over-the-counter products. In my head I was creating a list of things I might need. Water, juice and NyQuil. Now, I must ask, where might you find all of these things? That’s right, Wal-Mart. And, what day did I go to pick up my sickly essentials? That’s right, the day after Halloween.

Can you imagine what I was thinking on the way to the store? Here’s a look into the mind of a BroJo.

Okay, I need to get NyQuil and DayQuil, that will help with the sneezing, coughing and stuffy nose. Well, I can probably get by with the off-brand. The off-brand will probably give me better dreams anyways. I’m also dehydrated so I need water, the flavored kind. Also some juice, to get some extra vitamin C. Wait a second, this is the day after Halloween. HALF PRICED CANDY! I can probably pick up a Christmas Tree too, if I wanted…

After getting home I phoned up the local Pho shop and ordered the regular. Hopefully NyQuil, Pho and Cheap Candy will cure my weekend sickness.

How are you spending your weekend?

  1. I am sorry you are sick, but pho soup (or egg drop) are my go-to foods to help cure a cold.

I am huddled under a bunch of blankets, avoiding the heater one more day and trying to stay warm.

    CoachDaddy is pretty awesome!
