As I mentioned here 2014 will be the year of bloggers, for bloggers. Influenced by, and dedicated to DJ at the The Matticus Kingdom, please enjoy the following.

DJ likes to save the Kingdom, along with Revis. His “About” page is left blank, intentionally… because that’s how he rolls. We’ve been in the same sphere for a couple of years now, but didn’t really get as close until we each started helping out with the Stories That Must Not Die page. He writes and posts so much material, I don’t know how he does it. Right now I’m struggling to get up one post a week. He offers so much for me to look up to. I’m glad we’ve been acquainted and reacquainted. I also hear he’s about nine feet tall, so I’m glad he’s on my side.

Anyway, back to the…

I’m not much of a gamer. I’m not sure if DJ is either for that matter, but I’m reminded of gaming for some reason. The be all that ends all game for me is The Legend of Zelda for NES. Oh yeah. There was/is nothing better than collecting those three glorious swords, or all of those very shiny triangles that make one outstandingly large triangle. I was around twelve or thirteen the first time I beat the game. That was on the actual NES player. If I remember right it took me about a year to do so. That’s between playing different games and having to share with a younger brother, of course. The last time I beat the game I was twenty-five, and I was playing it on my laptop. That time only took me about a month…with use of the internet. I don’t have this game on my laptop now, yet.   I’m thinking that 2015 will be the year of the Zelda. I will now go find a way to play it on this laptop. I will be thirty-three right after the beginning of the year. I think that’s a perfect age to beat this game again, for the third time. What do you think?

What’s the one game that you can’t get enough of?

  1. Oh! I’m very excited about 2015 – The Year of Zelda! Bring on the questing! Zelda for NES was one of my favorites growing up too. But, since I didn’t have a game system, I could only play it when visiting friends who did and never actually beat the original game. I have since beat several later versions of the game, of course. That’s the world we live in!
Thanks for featuring me, it’s an honor! I am able to post so much, by the way, because what I post is just a bunch of silliness. And I’m in awe of those bloggers (like you) who are able to articulately tackle more weighty topics.
Picture credit for me as a king/knight goes to Art from Pouring My Art Out. He’s crazy talented with photoshop and if you provide him a picture he will happily completely mess you up, er, um, I mean transform you into something wonderful.
And the one game I can’t get enough of? Metal Gear Solid. 😀

      1. Hahaha, you’re funny that you think I have time to play video games right now. The Queen and Little Prince take every waking moment that isn’t spent at work or commuting to and from work.
Maybe when the Little Prince is a little older…

  2. This post has so much awesomeness I don’t know where to start. Zelda has to be one of the best games ever. I’m sure many people would agree.
Congrats to Matticus on his 2 years!

As for a game I can’t get enough of? Aahh too many to list. Right now it would probably be the PS4 version of The Last of Us.

  3. I really like tetris. And World 1, Level 1 of Super Mario Bros. Since I rarely got past it as a kid, It’s really the only level I like playing now. Sad really…..
