The Cat’s Meow

As I mentioned here 2014 will be the year of bloggers, for bloggers. Influenced by this, and dedicated to Grayson Queen (sometimes Dave) at  and, please enjoy the following.

I don’t really know what to say. All of my favorite things can be found on the links provided above. I recommend visiting Queen Creative and purchasing Orange Buffalo. I’m about half way through it myself, and I seem to be getting to the really good bits. I also think there are plenty of t-shirt designs to go through, and buy…not to mention an ongoing Web Comic called Lost Son of Gotham. Check it all out.

Anyway, back to the cats

So, this post contains a couple of firsts. Grayson is the first blogger to be featured because of someone else’s blog post. This is also the first time I will be sharing a video in the 2014 Featured Posts. Here’s a little rundown.

From what I hear Grayson and Perdita have a special kind of relationship.  I think the relationship I have with my cat is probably very similar. The video that I have so marvelously created contains a few separate instances of Mini showing a bit of affection. The first two are staged, so to speak. Both times I opened the door to find her doing what you see in the video, and decided to shut the door and start filming. The first part is me coming out of the bathroom after my morning shower. Now, some of you are thinking why do you have your phone in the bathroom? To that I say, why don’t you have yours in there? You never know what’s going to happen. Have you seen Final Destination? Or the “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up…” videos? Things happen, and I don’t have a big button around my neck to help. Plus, a smart phone is a lot better than a magazine, if you know what I mean.

The second part of the video is me coming home from work. Again, I opened the door, saw her standing there and decided to redo it with the camera phone rolling.

The finale part is a typical Saturday morning. You might be able to pick up on some slight purring noises in there. And yes, she is standing on my chest.

This isn’t the best video, but I think it shows what I’m trying to get across. I’m Mini’s favorite person, just like Grayson is Perdita’s. Enjoy!

    1. Yeah, you’re actually right. I have to make sure my dirty socks make it into the hamper, instead of just on the floor. She’ll drag them into the living room and play with them. Very weird.

  1. Awwww, Mini is the best! How darling!! 🙂 Of course, I’m pretty fond of your featured blogger too… 😉 Thanks for sharing so much love, Jon! xo! 😀

  2. I love this! What an adorable cat. We have a video on youtube of our cat saying mama. 🙂 I am pretty sure it’s posted on facebook. It makes me smile that you have a kitty friend.

  3. Thank you for the shout out.
Aren’t cats simultaneously the cutest, most frustrating and creepiest things ever? I say that as I look over at my cat who is staring at the wall.

    1. No problem, and absolutely. Mine likes to curl up by my legs when I’m on the couch, or next to my head when I’m in bed…but a lot of the times if I go to pet her she’ll run away, as if saying “I want to be near you, but have nothing to do with you.” Oh, and she likes to rub her nose around in my armpit, at the end of the day. I think you hit the nail on the head.
