Why do I have a headache you ask? Well… because
I’m super out of shape and my back hurts and I was in the sun all morning and I kept getting sweat in my eyes I’m a hard worker. Our Ward helped out with our Community’s Habitat for Humanity project today. You should’ve seen me. I was hammering nails, holding wood for other people to hammer nails, straightening nails out that I bent – while hammering, drinking water, standing around watching other people hammer nails and moving a ladder around so someone else could hammer nails. It was a lot of work. More so then what we had to do for last year’s Habitat for Humanity’s house. This year we were tasked (and when I say “we” I mean everyone else that knows what they’re doing) with framing the entire interior of the house and putting up sheathing on all the outside walls. I think our Ward got twice as much done as last year… and we had a great spread for lunch provided by the Relief Society.
Now I’m just sitting here, thinking about what I have ahead of me for the next couple of months. I’m pretty excited. Here’s a rundown.
Next week is my last week at work. The new guy is coming along well, and I think he’s going to work out just fine as my replacement.
I’m going to have at least two weeks off before I go about finding my next job. I do have some very promising leads, that I’m very happy about. Don’t worry Missouri Peeps, I won’t be moving until sometime in October. I promise I won’t run away without saying goodbye.
The third weekend in September (20th-22nd) is our Fall Missouri Jaycees State meeting. This will be my last meeting as the Missouri Jaycees Chaplain. It’s going to be very bittersweet. It seems that we are going to, yet again, nominate and elect a State President from my home town. This is the second year in a row.
We are officially just two months away from Blogger Interactive. Can’t wait to see you all there.
For the last little bit of news… I think it’s time to lay down and rest for a bit. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. God Bless.
