The Karate Comeback

The whole “who’s got the looks” thing got me thinking of a movie from a while back. Twins, staring Danny Devito and Arnold Schwarzenegger had a line in it that says something to the effect of “So, he was born first, and I’m what’s left over?” My Bruddah says that about us every once in a while.

Did you know that there is a movie being thought about called Triplets? A tag line says “Julius and Vincent Benedict discover they have a third sibling.” Right now on IMdb.com they have Danny and Arnold listed as stars along the person that could be the third brother. Eddie Murphy! Does this sound like a good idea to anyone? The Director of this film, if it were to come to fruition, it Ivan Reitman. This is the man that has brought us films like Ghostbusters, Up in the Air, Kindergarten Cop and Animal House.

Upon further investigation I’ve found that he is helping produce a new film entitled Hitchcock. This film is starring Scarlett Johansson, Helen Mirren, and Anthony Hopkins as Alfred Hitchcock. Someone else will be making an appearance in this film, Ralph Macchio. I’m smelling a comeback! What do you think? The last movie he was in, that people actually watched, was My Cousin Vinny in 1992. I think 20 years has been long enough.

Here’s a song that a group called No More Kings wrote and recorded, based off of The Karate Kid. The actor that plays the bad guy, William Zabka, starred in and directed the music video. Enjoy.

Are there enough degrees in this post? What else do you think can be added?

            1. A college Frat house trying to not get kicked out of school. Plus a bunch of other stuff. Bacon plays a member of the ROTC I think. He gets paddled by the school dean, or something like that.
