An oldie of mine. I figured it was relevant, being the anniversary and all.
While I was trying to find something to write about today, I did a little research on Wikipedia.com. The site offers a “this day in history” tab, and much to my surprise it said today that in “1860 – The discovery of the planet Vulcan is announced at a meeting of the French Academy of Sciences in Paris, France.” My heart skipped a beat when I read this. Is Spock real? Did I really see this planet destroyed a few years ago on the big screen? Have people really been “Where no man has gone before”? I’ll let you answer these questions on your own.
